Bio
Travis graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2022, where he earned a BA in History. In 2023, he received an MA in History from William & Mary, for which he produced the thesis “Printing the Pacific: How American Writers Set the Terms for Pacific-American Relations in the Nineteenth Century.” His current research focuses on Chinese migrants in Hawaii during the time of its annexation by the United States. Travis previously served as an editorial apprentice at the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture.
