Bio
Will Critchfield received a B.A. from Dickinson College in 2021 and an M.A. from Mississippi State University in 2024. His interests include historical memory with an emphasis on how agrarian communities commemorate vigilante violence. His current research focuses on contested memory of the Black Patch Tobacco Wars in Kentucky and Tennessee. Will is also involved with public history, serving as a docent and weekend manager at Ashland: The Henry Clay Estate since 2015. He is a member of the Southern Historical Association.
