Finishing your Dissertation

1. As soon as you know who your outside reader is, please submit this form:

• Committee Appointment Form (pdf) (For committees and advisors)

2. As soon as you have a date and location, inform the History office of the time and place of your defense

3. Send your Approval page to the OGSR before your defense to have to approved.

• Physical Standards for Theses & Dissertations - where you find the templates (link to the Grad Website)- These MUST be approved by the OGSR BEFORE they are signed

4. Come to your defense with your approval page, and the below three pages

• Recommendation and Defense of Dissertation Form (pdf)
• Compliance form (pdf)
• Embargo Form (pdf)

5. Once your dissertation is defended, follow the link below to submit your dissertation

• The process for submitting your Dissertation

6. After you submit your dissertation, please email a copy to the History office.
