Advising

Your major or minor courses should let you build expertise in a specific aspect of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. There are many ways to do this, but balancing the need to focus on a topic while fulfilling all requirements for the major can be tricky. Both GSWS majors and minors will need a faculty advisor. Your GSWS advisor will:

Help you choose courses that build a coherent plan of study that supports your interests and goals
Certify that your academic plan will meet the major or minor degree requirements
Help you find opportunities for internships, research, and activism

Any GSWS faculty member can serve as your advisor. If you have questions about finding an advisor, contact the program director.
