Welcome Tanu Kumar as Faculty Affiliate
We are proud to welcome, Tanu Kumar, as a Faculty Affiliate in the Department of Government. She is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Digital Technology and Development at Global Research Institute (GRI). Tanu received her Ph.D. from Berkeley in 2020. Her research focuses on the impact of government service delivery, such as housing subsidies, on citizen claim-making and political participation, with a focus on India. She is collaborating with Professor Phil Roessler on a field experiment on the impact of smartphone ownership on household bargaining and economic well-being in Malawi.
