Background
David A. Yalof is the author of several books, including most recently, George Washington and the Two-Term Precedent. (University Press of Kansas, 2023) His first book, Pursuit of Justices: Presidential Politics and the Selection of Supreme Court Nominees (1999), won the 1999 Richard E. Neustadt Award for best book on the presidency from the American Political Science Association’s Presidency Research Group. He also authored Prosecution among Friends: Presidents, Attorneys General, and Executive Branch Wrongdoing (2012) and he is coauthor of The First Amendment and the Media in the Court of Public Opinion (2002) and The Future of the First Amendment (2008). Dr. Yalof is currently completing a coauthored biography of Federal District Judge Harold R. Medina.
