Background
Mackenzie Israel-Trummel is Associate Professor of Government. Previously, she was Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Oklahoma where she co-founded the Community Engagement + Experiments Lab. She received her PhD in Political Science from Stanford University and her BA (magna cum laude) from Occidental College. Her research interests are primarily in the field of American political behavior and include the politics of identity and the carceral state. Her research has been published in a variety of journals including the American Political Science Review, The Journal of Politics, and Perspectives on Politics.
