Minoring in European Studies
The minor in European Studies provides interdisciplinary exposure to Europe's history, culture, and politics. Because this minor includes proficiency in a European Language other than English, the minor will enhance your preparation for professions in the U.S. and Europe.
Core courses come from the departments of History, Art History, Classical Studies, Government, and Modern Languages and Literatures. You may also take approved courses from other departments including Economics, English, Music, Philosophy, and Religious Studies.
To declare a minor in European Studies, complete the Declaration of Academic Minor form [pdf]. The department chair needs to sign the form to approve your plan of study. The department will keep a copy of this form.
