EPC Deadlines
Most applications to the EPC are reviewed within two weeks of receipt by EPC. Please note that your department or program must first approve the application in order for EPC to receive it. In addition, applications for COLL designations are reviewed by the Center for the Liberal Arts (CLA) prior to receipt by the EPC.
Important Dates & Deadlines:
- EPC Meetings: Weekly between the first week of classes and the first week of finals (except on holidays). The CLA will also evaluate applications weekly throughout the semester.
- Student Advising/Registration: To have courses approved by the EPC and “on the books” in time for student advising each semester, proposals must be received by EPC at least 6 business days prior to the start of the advising period. Please note that COLL applications require at least an additional week for CLA review and should be submitted two weeks prior to the start of the advising period. These timelines assume that no revisions are needed, so please plan accordingly.
- End-of-Semester Deadlines: The last day of classes is the deadline for proposals to go to the final EPC meeting of the semester. Please note that COLL applications require at least an additional week for subcommittee review and should be submitted two weeks prior to the last day of classes.
- End-of-Year Deadline: The deadline for proposals to be considered by the EPC in time to appear in next year’s undergraduate catalog is April 15.
