Funded by the Mellon Foundation, the expansion of the GIS program officially began in June 2008.
I must admit to writing this year's letter with mixed feelings.
Our family moved from New Hampshire to Williamsburg in August of 2008, and I am very excited to be a part of the Environmental Science & Policy program here at William and Mary.
Dr. Yuehan Lu obtained her Ph.D. in oceanography and organic geochemistry at the University of Michigan and joined us as the first Mellon Environmental Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2008.

I remember the original plan: work for a couple of years after college, then go to graduate school full-time.
