Internships
Internships are a highly recommended way to learn about potential careers in biology, and they are often great training opportunities, particularly in the field of biotechnology and the biomedical industry. To find an internship, contact the W&M Career Center or informally talk with other students and faculty and ask for names of people to call.
To obtain course credit for an internship, students should talk to the chair of the department in which the credit will be awarded. To earn W&M credit for an internship, students must register here and pay tuition as if it were a regular course. Biology internships currently are designated with a BIO 404-xx course number.
