Biology Leadership Award

This competitive award is given by the Biology Department annually to a graduating biology major who has made unique and valued contributions to the Biology Department and university community in the areas of academics, research, student mentoring, service, and/or community outreach.

Award: $500

Material to Submit:

Nomination letter from one or more faculty members providing a detailed description of the candidate’s unique contribution to the Biology Department and university community in the areas of academics, research, student mentoring, service and/or community outreach.

Requirements/Guidelines:

Student must be a graduating senior
Candidate must have made a unique contribution to the Biology Department and university community in the areas of academics, research, student mentoring, service and/or community outreach.
Candidates will be evaluated by the Biology Undergraduate Studies Committee based on faculty nomination letter(s) providing detailed information about student’s unique contributions described above.

Letter(s) should be submitted by a faculty member to the Chair of the Undergraduate Studies Committee.
