Biology Leadership Award
This competitive award is given by the Biology Department annually to a graduating biology major who has made unique and valued contributions to the Biology Department and university community in the areas of academics, research, student mentoring, service, and/or community outreach.
Award: $500
Material to Submit:
- Nomination letter from one or more faculty members providing a detailed description of the candidate’s unique contribution to the Biology Department and university community in the areas of academics, research, student mentoring, service and/or community outreach.
Requirements/Guidelines:
- Student must be a graduating senior
- Candidate must have made a unique contribution to the Biology Department and university community in the areas of academics, research, student mentoring, service and/or community outreach.
- Candidates will be evaluated by the Biology Undergraduate Studies Committee based on faculty nomination letter(s) providing detailed information about student’s unique contributions described above.
Letter(s) should be submitted by a faculty member to the Chair of the Undergraduate Studies Committee.
