Private giving provides Applied Science students with needed resources to carry out research at a much higher level than we would be able to do with public funds alone.
Private support augments the education and research-training mission of Applied Science. Contributions made at the departmental level fund a wide range of instrument and equipment needs, teaching and curricular materials, as well as other resources that benefit our students directly. Gifts can also be designated for specific initiatives at the department level or even within particular research groups. Our model blends public and private support, and it relies on the contributions of alumni, parents, friends, as well as grant-funding partners.
