Financial Assistance
All doctoral students (including students in the sequential M.A./Ph.D. program) will receive tuition and a stipend for five years. Students receiving funding serve as teaching or research assistants. Financial assistance may also be available for summer research. Pending admission, students with national fellowships are welcome to the program. Continued funding is contingent on the performance of the student, and each student must show satisfactory progress as determined by the department's Graduate Committee in order to remain in good standing. A separate application is not necessary for financial aid.
Students in the M.A.-only program do not receive funding from the Department of Anthropology. For information on other sources of financial aid, M.A. students should contact the Office of Financial Aid.
