Board of Visitors Actions
In 2009, the Board of Visitors unanimously approved establishing the Lemon Project to chronicle W&M's history with African-Americans and to promote a deeper understanding of its indebtedness to the work of African-Americans. In 2018, the Board extended the Lemon Project as it apologized for W&M's history of owning slaves and racial discrimination.
