About Roxane
Roxane first served the W&M Washington Center in 2001 as a graduate intern. She was hired by Inaugural Director Susan Wayland to start a summer program for W&M students and research semester-long programs for the future. In 2006, Roxane joined the Center as the first program director of the newly established D.C. Semester Program. As the Center grew, Roxane's role developed, and in 2021, she became the Director.
As Center Director, Roxane is responsible for strategic vision, innovation, engagement, and collaborations with campus and DC-based partners, board management, fundraising, and teaching experiential learning, internship, and reflection courses.
Roxane earned her Bachelor's degree from Bucknell University in 2000 and graduated from the W&M School of Education in 2002 with a Master of Education and in January 2023 with an Ed.D. in Educational Policy, Planning, & Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration. Her dissertation was focused on experiential learning, having conducted a program evaluation of the Washington Center's D.C. Summer Institutes in relation to career readiness.
