Equity in Counselor Education Training Programs
About the Research
We know how important school counselors are to students' educational experiences. Professor Haskins's research employs critical race theory to help ensure that school counselors — whose personal backgrounds frequently differ from those of the students they serve — develop culturally responsive methods that embrace diverse perspectives. Professor Haskins also works to ensure that graduate students of color experience culturally responsive education, and she founded and co-directs the Social Justice Graduate Research Fellows Program.
