Monika Gosin

About the Research

Professor Gosin focuses her research on race relations and explores Afro Cuban and Afro Latinx immigration experiences in the United States. She has also written a book focused on the racial relations and tension between African Americans, "white" Cubans, and "black Cubans" in Miami.  Additionally, the book explores the nuanced ways identities have been created, rejected and reclaimed in the context of Miami's historic interethnic tensions.
