The climate subcommittee hosted faculty and staff focus groups in the early part of April. These focus groups allowed faculty and staff to share thoughts with the Task Force.
Looking Beyond Orientation: New Approaches to Sexual Assault Prevention Programming Webinar

Recent legislation, White House guidance, media attention, and Department of Education investigations are increasingly calling attention to prevention education programs at higher education institutions. In this webinar, the current sexual assault primary prevention landscape will be discussed and innovative strategies and practices that provide students with high-quality learning opportunities to expand their knowledge and build their prevention skills throughout their time on campus will be shared. Task Force members will be viewing this webinar.
The Hunting Ground: An expose of sexual assault on college campuses.
William & Mary was the first university to host a showing of The Hunting Ground. W&M News covered the showings. The film was shown on Friday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m. in Kimball Theatre and again on Sunday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Andrews 101. Andrea Pino and Annie Clark, the two women whose stories are reflected in the film were present on Sunday and hosted a Q&A with the audience. Task Force members were present at both showings.
Student Focus Groups: February 15-February 26, 2015.
The climate subcommittee hosted student focus groups during the month of February. These confidential small group conversations were open to all William & Mary students, and provided them an opportunity to share thoughts with the Task Force.
Campus Conversation: Gender-based Discrimination and Violence at William & Mary
February 12, 2015 7:00-8:30 p.m., Sadler Center, Tidewater A&B
Faculty, staff and students attended an open campus conversation to discuss gender-based discrimination and violence at W&M. A progress report on the work of the Task Force was presented. Student-led break-out discussions and a Q&A session with Task Force members followed the conversation.

Proposed Changes to Sexual Misconduct Policy and Procedures
Vice President Ambler sent a message (pdf) to students on October 16 regarding proposed changes to the sexual misconduct policy and procedures. The comment period closed on November 7.

HOPE's Healthy Relationships branch hosted a performance by Tsuki Bomb in honor of the Red Flag Campaign. Donations were accepted for the Haven.
Red Flag Movie Night "The Spectacular Now" October 22, 8:00 p.m. Andrews Hall 101
HOPE's healthy relationships screened "The Spectacular Now." Audience members looked for signs of "red flags" in the relationship.
Red Flag Campaign Dialogue on Dating Violence and Hookup Culture, October 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sadler Center, York
HOPE's healthy relationships held a round table discussion about the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships, and what dating violence and hookup culture means for the W&M Community.
William & Mary's Women's Law Society Panel Discussion: The Law of Sexual Assault on Campus, October 8

National Sexual Misconduct Survey-Distributed to Students Monday, October 6
The response period for the survey closed on November 17. The Campus Climate subcommittee is currently analyzing the data.
