The 2023 Ampersand International Arts Festival is hosting a screening of Imagining the Indian: The Fight Against Native American Mascoting on Monday, February 27 at 7:00 PM in William & Mary's Kimball Theater.

This feature-length documentary examines the movement to eliminate the use of Native American slurs, names, logos, images and gestures that many Native Americans and their allies find demeaning and offensive. Screening will be followed by a Q&A with Producer Yancey Burns and Composer Dawn Avery.
