Charter Day 2023

William & Mary was honored to host representatives from nine Virignia tribal communities for Charter Day 2023 and the formal launch of the commemoration of 300 years since the completion of the Brafferton building to house the Indian School at William & Mary.

Chief Lynette Allston of the Nottoway Indian Tribe of Virginia offered a reflection on the Brafferton Indian School's complex legacy and the goal of renewed relationships based on shared history and mutual respect (remarks begin at 1:24:29).
