Bernadette Kulas

Information

Ms. Kulas currently serves as the Assistant to the Vice Provost for Research managing all aspects of operations, administration, and finance for this Office that includes the Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of Technology Transfer, Center for Archeological Research, Center for Conservation Biology and Applied Research Center Core Labs.  Ms. Kulas is a member of the Data Governance Advisory Committee, Financial Conflict of Interest Committee, KPI Research Group, Academic Finance Leaders Committee, Steering Committee Member for SPARCS ERP Implementation, and a key contributor for developing the University’s F&A Rate Proposals.  Her previous positions with William & Mary include Program Management for various externally funded STEM research centers and as an Analyst for the Office of Economic Development and the Bureau of Business Research.

 Previously, Ms. Kulas was employed by the New York State Office of Economic Development for 10 years in various positions including: Director, Procurement Technical Assistance Program; Industry Cluster Project Manager; and Project Manager for Export Technical Assistance Programs. Ms. Kulas has worked for EDS as a computer operator and served in the U.S. Navy. Ms. Kulas has been recognized as a Certified Economic Developer and a Commonwealth of Virginia Paramedic and holds an MBA from Russell Sage College and a M.S. in Rural Sociology and B.A. in Sociology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
