Rich Lowry
Rich Lowry is Professor of English and Film & Media Studies. He has written on Mark Twain, Lewis Hine, and most recently on Alexander Gardner's photographs of Abraham Lincoln in The Photographer and the President.
His areas of specialization include nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature and cultural studies, visual culture (especially photography) and American studies.
Published books include The Photographer and the President: Abraham Lincoln, Alexander Gardner, and the Images That Made a Presidency and Littery Man: Mark Twain and Modern Authorship.
