Speakers, Performers & Special Events
Throughout the year 2018-19, the university welcomed a wide variety of speakers and performers whose work, we hope, stimulated, provoked, cautioned, comforted, exhorted, inspired and enthralled. Not all were women. Not all talked about gender. Most, explored new ideas.
Some of our speakers came from elsewhere in the world. Some may be your neighbors. Some danced. Some sang. Some presented equations.
Whatever their backgrounds, whatever their stories, our speakers and performers helped us acknowledge the university's history, commemorated those 24 women who changed the status quo, and celebrated those thousands of women who came after the initial 24 and are still having an impact on the world.
