Graham Henshaw
Assistant Provost for Entrepreneurship
As Assistant Provost for Entrepreneurship, Graham Henshaw is working to ignite the entrepreneurial movement already well underway on W&M's campus. Before joining W&M, Graham was the director of venture development at New Richmond Ventures — a venture capital firm investing in early-stage socially-driven startups. Graham continues to work with startup founders today as an angel investor, recently backing W&M alumni-led ventures like Telegraph and Forte.
The Entrepreneurship Hub, which Graham has led since 2015, exists to catalyze entrepreneurial thinkers who take action. At the Hub, entrepreneurship is viewed broadly as a set of highly versatile skills and a mindset necessary to solve problems and address meaningful opportunities. "The students who come to the Hub develop a whole new way of thinking and can become skilled at working through all kinds of complex and forward-thinking ideas," Graham said. The Hub welcomes students from all majors to participate in dozens of programs, including pitch competitions, alumni speaker events, hackathons and exclusive internships.
