Cindy Crace
Cindy grew up as a competitive collegiate tennis player and youth tennis coach. She took a break from competitive athletics to enjoy the "sport" of raising two wonderful sons. She later returned to tennis but developed a case of tennis elbow that progressed to the point where she could no longer hold a tennis ball. Seeking alternatives to cortisone shots or surgery led her to hot yoga which helped cure her tennis elbow, gave her an increased appreciation for holistic wellness, and rejuvenated her coaching spirit. After years of yoga teaching experience, Cindy was deeply affected by her mother-in-law’s deteriorating health. She utilized therapeutic yoga techniques to assist her mother-in-law’s debilitating pain. This experience inspired Cindy to focus on Yoga Therapy Training and she acquired her 300-hour Yoga Therapy designation through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, a program accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. With over 5,000 hours of teaching experience as a yoga educator and yoga therapist, she is versed in Chronic Pain, Anxiety, Depression and Trauma, Functional Yoga Therapy, and Cancer Mentoring. Cindy is the Director and founder of Shanti Garudasana Yoga School, she is committed to providing quality yoga education for students at W&M and the Williamsburg community. She loves outdoor sports and most weekends she can be found with her husband on the James River sculling. She's been married for 35 years with two grown sons and a zoo of pets.

Terry Fassanella
Howdy fitness enthusiasts! I've been a group fitness instructor for over ten years and currently instruct a variety of classes including Les Mills BodyPump (a cardio weightlifting class) and Les Mills GRIT (a 30-minute high-intensity interval training class).
My fitness philosophy: You know your body best. Work hard and have fun but know your limit and when enough becomes too much. Ask for help. Support your classmates. This is what makes group fitness so exciting and inspiring.
