May the odds be ever in your favor...

Students are busy, but there are ways to engage them with your important announcements, news and other messaging. Here you'll find channels to reach students, recommendations for using those channels and how to get started. Remember to consult the university brand guidelines as you work, and if you need additional assistance you can request a consultation with internal communications staff.

Newsletters While there is no comprehensive list of all W&M newsletters, think about the intersections of your message with other units and don't hesitate to reach out to newsletter administrators.
  • Newsletter administrators are often eager for relevant content and new partners
  • Plan some lead time, as offices can work weeks or even months in advance
  • Plan to write a brief blurb. Offer a good visual if you have one available
  • Tailor your language to the audience; newsletter content should be directly relevant to the reader
