Move-In Day
Establishing sustainable habits from day one.
In partnership with First Year Experience, the EcoReps support freshmen Move-In Day by:
- directing families towards recycling stations
- helping to break down boxes and ensuring appropriate recycling
- answering questions and being a welcoming sustainability presence
EcoReps also volunteer at our other Orientation events such as Meet the Greens, a sustainability information fair, and DormMania, a reuse program for dorm items, although these are not mandatory.
Move-In Day EcoRep Details
- early dorm access (must be signed up by May)
- training the day before Move-In (REQUIRED)
- welcoming and recycling on Move-In Day morning (REQUIRED)
- lunch on Move-In Day
- request to help at our other Orientation events if available, like Meet the Greens (not required)
- does not obligate you to be an EcoRep the rest of the semester
Move-In Day is a unique and standing commitment for EcoReps, unlike the rotating themes for trainings during the semester. Move-In Day EcoReps need only attend one training, then show-up and volunteer!
