Water (Bottled and Coolers)
As part of the Governor’s Executive Order 77, William & Mary has begun the phase-out of single-use plastic water bottles. While some exceptions exist for health and safety purposes through December 31, 2022, department orders should follow the guidelines listed below.
For bulk orders, departments must purchase cases of Aquafina in 16oz Alumitek bottles through the university’s existing Pepsi contract. For orders of 15 cases or more, complete the Pepsi order form found in BuyW&M to have product delivered directly to your department. For orders under 15 cases, please submit an order through America to Go with W&M Catering. Once processed, orders can be claimed from the student X-change in the Sadler Center.
For on-going departmental needs, water cooler options are available through TSRC and Diamond Springs. The linked flier contains available options and pricing for the TSRC water cooler program. Available options from Diamond Springs may be found on their website at http://diamondsprings.com .
Please note that funding requirements for departmental purchases of water for office guests and visitors fall under the university’s local funds policy, which requires the use of local funds and Dean or VP approval prior to purchase.
Requirements under this executive order have also been relayed to vendors servicing the campus through the America To Go program. The university has been granted an extension to allow all ATG vendors time to transition to new product lines.
