Temporary Impairments
Temporary impairments caused by surgeries or accidents can make full academic and campus life participation a challenge. We work with individual students to devise solutions for meeting their academic and daily demands. Timely student contact is essential and, in many cases, planning is crucial.
Though certainly not exhaustive, the following accommodations are helpful to students struggling with temporary impairments:
- Assistive technology for note taking assistance
- Use of a computer to complete tests or quizzes
- Temporary accessible parking
- Restricted parking for medical reasons
- Reasonable extensions of time to complete tests, quizzes, or other class assignments
- Limited Mobility Shuttle Service (LMSS)
- Concussion information
