TribeLink Student Involvement

Due July 17

Involvement is more than just showing up.

At William & Mary, we believe that student leadership development is a cornerstone in supporting our students to become engaged citizens. Student leadership involves cultivating a frame of mind for exploring self, others and community. Leaders develop a skill set to adapt to change, craft creative solutions and seize opportunities. Leaders are moved by what they care about to make the world a better place.

Student organizations are responsible for many of the programs and events held on campus each year including social events, lectures, special events, cultural events and conferences. Being a part of an organization and helping to plan and put on one of these events, or to lead an organization, can teach you valuable skills that you can use throughout your lifetime.

Explore the Wide Range of Opportunities to Get Involved On Campus Using TribeLink

Take some time to explore the vast involvement opportunities available to you. You can do this either through TribeLink on your computer. To increase your access to see more events or information about organizations, you should log in using your W&M credentials.

As you explore, take some time to reflect on what would make your involvement the most meaningful.  Here are some questions to consider:

  • What do you care about? (People, places, causes, events, trends, cultures, etc.)
  • What skills, knowledge or insights do you want to develop?
  • What energizes you or restores your well-being?

We want you to become familiar with all of the awesome opportunities to get involved in at W&M, however, please do not request to join any organizations yet! Organizations will begin the process of recruiting new members when the academic year begins and you can begin to request to join AFTER New Student Orientation. Trust us! There will be plenty of time to join clubs and organizations in the future.
