About Annie

Annie Francis joined the Tribe staff in July 2023 and serves as the athletic trainer for the Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics teams.

Before joining the Sports Medicine department, Annie spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Illinois State University. Within those two years she was contracted with Lincoln College and primarily worked with Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, Cross Country, and Wrestling teams. She later worked at Illinois State University’s SMART clinic and was an instructor for the First Aid and CPR class for the undergraduate students. The summer following her first year as a graduate assistant, Annie worked as an athletic trainer at the International Gymnastics Camp, where she was a preceptor, mentoring student athletic trainers. Annie went to undergrad at Western Carolina University and performed a clinical rotation as a student athletic trainer, here at William and Mary, Stanford, Davidson, as well as other colleges and high schools.

Annie used to coach gymnastics and is a retired gymnast. In her free time, she likes to read, work out and spend time with family and friends.
