About Eric:

Eric Margiotta is passionate about and chooses to make a difference through the environments and experiences that can be provided in student unions and the impact that can be made on individual’s lives through mentoring and employment. He serves as the Director of Student Unions & Engagement at William & Mary. Margiotta counts facilities management, renovation & construction, student staff development, and assessment as particular areas of expertise and interest though he loves all parts of the student union experience.

Margiotta has been a consistent and enthusiastic volunteer for ACUI throughout his career. He has published articles, presented countless times at international conferences, and served on the Association’s Leadership Team. Eric recently co-led a group that performed an 18-month review and update of the Association’s Core Competencies and is excited to expand their use in the union and activities profession. Eric has received ACUI’s Edward S. “Beanie” Drake Founders’ award – given to “an individual in the midst of their career who has exemplified the values and mission of their institution and ACUI.” Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, Cyndi, and two children.
