Getting Involved Upon Your Return
We encourage you to get involved in some of the many international opportunities offered at William & Mary and meet others who share your passion for international education. Take a look at the wide variety of campus clubs and organizations and check out the Reves-supported programs below.
- Pre-Departure Aide
Help future study abroad students prepare for their time abroad. Pre-Departure Orientations are mid-November and mid-April. W&M Faculty-led programs typically have a one credit pre-course where many Program Directors encourage past participants to share their experiences during a class. Contact wmabroad@wm.edu for more information - KEIO Cross-Culture Collaboration
Work with Japanese students from Keio University over the summer as they study American culture. - Foreign Lands Ambassador Group (FLAG)
Share your knowledge of other cultures with local elementary-school children. - Study Abroad Fair Volunteer
Volunteer to serve as a resident expert and enthusiast for study abroad at the annual Study Abroad Fair and add your name to a contact list for interested students. Contact wmabroad@wm.edu for more information. - Third Party Alumni or Ambassador Programs
For students who participated in third party programs, many program providers offer opportunities as program ambassadors. These opportunities allow students to act as representatives on campus for program outreach and share their experiences with prospective students. Students who are selected as program ambassadors should meet with their GEO study abroad advisor to discuss possible strategies for effective campus outreach.
