Micro-Storytelling Workshop

The Reves Center for International Studies is accepting applications for priority access to the 4th annual Reves International Micro-Story Workshop.

Apply now for priority access to the 2025 Microstory Workshop

What is it?:

The 2025 workshop is for W&M students who have a story to tell about traveling internationally and who want to learn to tell their non-fiction story creatively and succinctly (~500 words).

Storytellers will receive coaching from Reves Center staff and the Studio for Teaching and Learning Innovation.

When does it take place?:

The workshop meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in February and March. The final session will include telling stories to an audience and a workshop celebration.

Workshop dates:

  • Tuesday, February 18
  • Thursday, February 20
  • Tuesday, February 25
  • Thursday, February 27
  • Tuesday, March 4
Why should I apply?:

Students chosen for the workshop will complete a polished writing sample suitable for a portfolio, add a unique item to their resume, gain valuable oral story-telling skills, and enjoy networking opportunities.
