Bio

Kate Ingle '27 is from Botetourt County, Virginia. Her childhood, filled with backpacking, scuba diving, and mountain biking, sparked her passion for sharing and conserving wild spaces. Kate is particularly interested in the intersections of anthropology, behavioral ecology, and integrative conservation.

On campus, Kate serves as the Sponsorship Chair of the Rock-Climbing Club and Co-Foil Captain of the Fencing Club. She is also a member of Professor Leu’s ACER Lab and Professor Lockwood’s Paleo Lab. Kate brings a human-centered, forward-thinking perspective to her work in the IIC Conservation Research Program.
