Helen Tiffin '26 is a double major in Geology and Integrative Conservation. She grew up on a hobby farm in rural Ohio, where her love for nature and commitment to stewardship have always been central to her identity.

Helen was drawn to conservation because it allows her to put knowledge into action. She views Geology as a powerful tool for conservation, offering a holistic understanding of Earth’s processes and the interconnectedness of human communities and biodiversity.

With a strong foundation in GIS, Helen has contributed to projects for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and American Prairie. During academic breaks, she works in a paleontology lab at the University of Cincinnati, where she studies the extirpation of caribou from the lower 48 states. This work provides her with valuable hands-on experience in research and fieldwork.

Helen aspires to dedicate her career to protecting and restoring the environment. On campus, she serves as president of both the Society for Conservation GIS and The Wesley Foundation, where she fosters community and leadership aligned with her passions for conservation and inclusivity.
