Bio
Cecilia "Cece" Sturman '26 is from Los Angeles, CA. Her interest in environmental conservation, particularly water conservation, began as a child growing up in a city that faced constant drought. Spending her summers hiking and camping deepened her appreciation for nature and the importance of protecting the planet. Cece also rowed throughout middle and high school, which further fueled her connection to waterways and highlighted the many benefits of nature access for communities.

At William & Mary, Cece discovered her passion for conservation and environmental protection. She is majoring in Integrative Conservation with a minor in Psychology, and has a special interest in GIS. Cece works as a GIS Teaching Assistant for the CGA and is a member of Trippin On Brix, an improv and sketch comedy group on campus. Her study abroad experience in Prague, Czech Republic, sparked an interest in different cultures, and she hopes to pursue a career in conservation abroad, focusing on climate change mitigation.
