Owen Tucker '25 is from Virginia Beach, VA. In his studies at W&M he has focused on finding the intersection of sustainability and business, and this research will represent the culmination of a few years of fascination with carbon markets. Owen studied abroad in The Hague, NL, focusing on public policy responses to climate change.
At W&M, Owen is Treasurer of the Rock-Climbing club, is involved in Trip Aide, and works as a Climbing Wall Attendant at the Campus Recreation Center. He plays saxophone in the W&M Jazz Combo and guitar in the W&M Jazz Guitar Trio.
Owen completed an internship at Coastal Virginia Conservancy, a Conservation NGO based in Norfolk, VA. There he assisted with financial planning, was involved in fieldwork in the Elizabeth River, and gained experience with Conservation related credits as a source of funding. He applies his financial modeling and analysis skills to his research in the IIC Conservation Research Program.
