Andrew Lee '25 is from Seoul, South Korea. His interest in conservation was sparked by discussions with an academic advisor, leading to a profound realization of the field's importance. Andrew has worked on several deep learning projects, showcasing the ability to leverage large datasets to extract meaningful information.
With a passion for applying statistical learning to various problems, Andrew is dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to conduct the first complete survey of roosting sandhill cranes on the Platte River. Through his research, Andrew anticipates gaining valuable insights from integrating the fields of data science and conservation. He is optimistic that this interdisciplinary approach will propel conservation initiatives forward and lay a strong foundation for future projects in the field.
