Raquel Mandojana's passion for the environment started when she was very young, and she has always been very fond of animals and enjoys spending time outside. She grew up as a Foreign Service kid, moving to new countries every few years. Through this exposure, she witnessed the beauty of the natural world while becoming aware of the harms posed to the environment by human actions.
Her experience drove her to pursue an environmentally-focused education at W&M. Through the IIC Conservation Research Program, Raquel combines her interests in the environment and wildlife with her desire to acquire valuable research skills and experience. In the future she hopes to pursue post-graduate work in an environmental field.
