GREEN Caucasus - Enhancing Green Rural Economy and Energy in GeorgiaBiography
Growing up in rural communities, Madelyn's passion for the environment developed during her childhood, driven by her innate curiosity that led her to seek answers through science. During her time at W&M she has honed her skills in environmental science and developed an appreciation for the role of environmental humanities in bringing about lasting change.
Madelyn is particularly interested in exploring the intersection between environmental science, law, policy, and community activism. She aims to understand how the interplay of these elements can contribute to the implementation of more effective localized conservation efforts. Through an internship at VIMS, Madelyn has expanded her professional horizons, and gained experience in multiple conservation fields. She is enthusiastic about continuing this journey though the IIC Conservation Research Program.
