Biography
Enrique Sánchez-Rivera serves as the Founder and CEO of Augmented Island Studios, a comprehensive spatial computing (augmented and virtual reality) studio headquartered in Portland, Oregon, with development offices located in Cali, Colombia.
Graduating from the W&M full-time MBA program in 2007, he was a pivotal founding member of the W&M Mason School of Business Alumni of Color Network.
A serial entrepreneur, Enrique has successfully established three companies across diverse industries: Augmented Island Studios (technology), Love Preferred Coffee Co. (sustainable premium Colombian coffee), and La Isla Fashion Group (manufacturing). Originally hailing from Cali, Colombia, Enrique maintains a profound connection to Williamsburg, VA, and remains actively engaged with W&M.
Exemplifying a role model for W&M students, he showcases how one can leverage their W&M experience to foster innovation, establish valuable networks, and cultivate professional skills necessary for making a meaningful impact in the world. Enrique holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut and is a graduate of the Yale School of Management's Executive Leadership Program (YGELP).
