Kristine Zeigler

Kristine Zeigler is an accomplished conservationist, fiction writer, fundraising executive, and advocate for equity in the conservation field. Kristine has twenty-two years of experience as a professional fundraiser and nonprofit executive, finding the resources needed to support effective global conservation. In her previous role as Conservation International’s Chief Development Officer, she provided leadership and direction on the organization’s philanthropy strategy that equipped people, communities, businesses, and governments to thrive while protecting the natural world we all depend on for life. She also served as the Director of Philanthropy for The Nature Conservancy’s California Chapter and the Director of Development at Yosemite Conservancy, where she raised support for the conservation of critical ecosystems across California and globally. An accomplished writer, she supports and mentors nature writers as co-founder of New Nature Writers. Kristine is the Chief Executive Officer of Planet Women, an organization that partners with women to create a healthy planet for all life by combining the best elements of conservation with a radical new approach to leadership and culture for a stronger, more inclusive environmental movement.
