Bio

Lieutenant Colonel Mike Shekleton is an Army strategist that currently serves as the Director of the Basic Strategic Art Program at the United States Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he teaches national security decision-making.  His previous assignments include serving as a strategic planner in the Army Campaign Plan and Transformation Office in the Pentagon, an operations officer for the Iraq Training and Advisory Mission – Police in Baghdad, an assistant professor and instructor of economics at the United States Military Academy, and a Stryker Infantry Rifle Company Commander.  His 18 years of military service includes two deployments to Iraq.  His interests include policy and strategy, economics, and history.

Mike holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics from the United States Military Academy.
