PIPS Research Fellowship Application Guidelines

PIPS is accepting research fellows for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants should submit the following required material to the PIPS Research Fellow listing in Tribe Careers.  Search for PIPS to find the listing.

Required Material:
  • PIPS Fellowship Application Form. To save your completed document, “save as” and use the file name formatting listed below.
  • Resume, which includes cumulative and major GPAs and graduation year.
  • A 5 to 10-page writing sample from a previous class, an excerpt from a larger document is acceptable. 
  • Letters of recommendation are not required. Applicants will list two potential references on the Fellowship Application Form.
PIPS Research Fellowship Application Guidelines:

All submitted files must be in Adobe PDF format and each file name must use the following format:

Lastname.Firstname.Graduationyear.FellowshipApplication  (e.g. Skywalker.Luke.2026.FellowshipApplication)

Lastname.Firstname.Graduationyear.Transcript

Note: PIPS will only review applications that meet the specified formatting.

The submission deadline for the 2022-2023 academic year is Friday, August 4, 2023 by 5 pm. PIPS Fellowship selection is a two-step process.  The first step involves a review of applications and an initial down select.  The second step involves interviews, which will take place during the first week of fall semester classes.
