Biography
Jacob Hall is a Data Analyst for the Research and Evaluation Unit, where they help develop GeoQuery and support data processing projects.
Jacob came to William & Mary as an undergraduate in 2019 to complete an undergraduate degree in geology. During that time, they worked at the Studio for Teaching & Learning Innovation as a student partner and began work at AidData as a research assistant. They also co-founded the Barefoot Club and co-led The Meridian Coffeehouse (a student-run performing arts space) for two years.
Jacob first dabbled with PHP in middle school to develop websites, and since has coded in R, JavaScript, Racket, and Python. They regularly contribute to free and open-source projects and OpenStreetMap, a community-built map of the world.
