Layla Abi-Falah is an international human rights lawyer and associate human rights officer with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Abi-Falah has been dedicated to an international human rights career for over a decade, beginning as a research assistant and fellow on various GRI research labs, including AidData, Africa Research Center and PIPS. Armed with the experience and tools gained at GRI, Abi-Falah went on to support international law projects across the world, including: the UN Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da’esh/ISIL (UNITAD); REDRESS; Syria Justice & Accountability Centre, and the Office of the Prosecutor at UN IRMCT.
