Household Hazardous Waste
Chemical waste generated at your residence should be disposed of properly to help protect the environment and your community. The average household has between three and ten gallons of materials that are potentially hazardous to human health and/or the environment. Many products in daily use such as cleaners, pesticides, paints, and solvents contribute to the hazardous waste problem when they are disposed of improperly. This material cannot be disposed of through the university. Local communities schedule locations and dates for the disposal of this material for the residents. Listed below are local community links with the information regarding disposing of unwanted chemical waste.
If your community is not listed contact your city or county for information.
