School of Education Media Review for Inclusiveness
March 25, 2014 marked W&M’s first annual Supplier Diversity Vendor Fair. The fair provided an opportunity for over 30 small, women and minority-owned (SWaM) businesses to showcase their products and services to departments across campus and our satellite locations in one afternoon.
On April 8, the Office of Diversity & Equal Opportunity in collaboration with the Provost, W.I.S.E., and Human Resources, sponsored a training on Implicit and Unconscious Bias in hiring and evaluation.
University Development offered an informative webinar entitled, “Leveraging and Understanding Alumni of Color” which was sponsored by CASE.
The Women’s Network gathered twice for lunch to celebrate two former Chairs of the organization - Mary Schilling and Kate Slevin.
WISE annually awards grants to female faculty working in the STEM disciplines at William & Mary, Richard Bland College, and Thomas Nelson Community College.
The Lemon Project had another busy year.
